'07 Cabernet Franc: This very limited release will only be available for a short while longer. It is $24/btl, $244.80/case. For wine club members, the price is $18/btl, $216/case. Floral with hints of anise, the jewel-toned Cab Franc is black cherry and boysenberry on the palate followed by a medium-long finish. It's great both as companion to food and for sipping alone. Wine club price runs to mid-April, if the wine lasts.

Elva: She's a semi-sweet dessert and spicy food table wine; and, like all romantic heroines, she's never around long. She's $14/btl. and $10/50/btl. for wine club members until mid-April.

Vinasaurus Rex (V-Rex): A progressive case(s) special on Vinasaurus Rex (V-Rex) continues: Buy one case of any wine(s) except the Vinasaurus Rex, get a case of V-Rex for $50; buy two cases except the V-Rex, get a case of Vinasaurus Rex for $1.

Spring Break Special, March  29- April 9: Bring your out of town guests for wine tasting and receive an extra 5% off wine purchases (excluding wine releases and the infamous Vinasaurus Rex). Tell your guests that the original vineyards in California were in Placerville.

March 27 & 28: Mystery wine release reception. Either the muscular and powerful Merlot  or the delicate and lovely Sangiovese is going to be ready; we just know it. You know the drill--special wine club only food pairings in the reception room.

Passport Tickets are on sale: This annual event will be held April 10-11 and April 17-18. The El Dorado County wineries put on quite a show with exotic food pairings and huge wine discounts.
