Wine Specials
'07 Black Bear Port: This weekend's price will be the lowest at which it will ever be sold.

'07 Cabernet Franc: This very limited release will only be available for about seven more weeks. It is $24/btl, $244.80/case. For wine club members, the price is $18/btl, $216/case.  Floral with hints of anise on the nose, the jewel-toned Cab Franc is black cherry and boysenberry on the palate followed by a medium-long finish. It's great both as companion to food and for sipping alone.

Vinasaurus Rex (V-Rex): A modified case(s) special on Vinasaurus Rex (V-Rex) continues: Buy one case of any wine(s) except the Vinasaurus Rex, get a case of V-Rex for $50; buy two cases except the V-Rex, get a case of Vinasaurus Rex for $1.

Give your Valentine a beautifully packaged box of the '06 Black Bear Port and two port glasses (they're cute) for $32 OR the '06 Black Bear Port, two port glasses (they're still cute) and Tangerine Fig Balsamic for $40 OR create your own.

Shipping your Wine
Yes! Jodar can now ship to the following states: Alaska; Arizona; Washington, D. C.; Florida; Georgia; Illinois; Iowa; Kansas; Minnesota; Missouri; Nevada; New Hampshire; North Carolina; Oregon; Rhode Island; and, Texas. Idaho, New York and Washington licensing are in progress.
Frequent Buyers' Cards
Don't forget to have your Frequent Buyer Card initialed when you make purchases (wine club releases are not eligible as purchases for this program). Twelve filled out boxes earns you (1) a one-cent bottle of wine, (2) a new card, and (3) another entry into the July drawing for the grand prize a one-cent mixed case or one of two one-cent mixed half-case prizes.
Those of you who participate remotely: No problem-o. Simply remind us of your card on file when you call.
Tasting Room
All wine tasters will enjoy the gold medal-winning Pinto Gris with a warm pesto brie wrapped in puff pastry.  Mmmmm, Eric & Abbie Gora.

Special Port(s) Tasting: Visitors will have the opportunity to do a first-time ever tasting of two Port vintages, the '06 and the '07. Port afficionados will be able to barrel taste the new '07 Port then taste the present vintage to see how ports change with time. Both will be served with Lisa's special baklava.

February 20 at 6:30pm: Winemaker Dinner at Zachary Jacques. Featured will be culinary magic by Chef John Evans, Jodar wines, wine talk by The Mother Ship, and special prices on featured wines. February 27: Cuisine on Carson returns! This fun and free event showcases the wineries along the Carson Road corridor between Placerville and Camino. Each winery will have wine and food pairings all day, as well as wine specials. Get a map and more information at www.carsonroadwineries.com .

Passport Tickets are on sale: This annual event will be held April 10-11 and April 17-18. The Foothilll wineries put on quite a show with exotic food pairings with huge wine discounts. For tickets and more information, go to eldoradowines.org/events-passport.html.
